Can't see south from here (in the valley), so storms from the south normally just appear here. Even the sound of the thunder from southerly storms ride over the valley.

Looks as though Eastbourne is about to get hit, signs of popcorn showers developing too.

Those storms that are springing up around London are elevated - so much of the ppn will be evaporating before it reaches the ground.

Didn't you used to be in Caterham?

Lovely cloud overhead. looks almost like a funnel cloud reaching down

The rightmost storm of that cluster over the north Pennines is looking supercellular, and on radar possibly a hook return forming.

Just had some heavy pulses of rain with rumbles of thunder and gusty winds but the sun was still shining into my hobby room.

Despite the heavy ploppy rain, it's only 1.6 mm at the moment and all it's done was to make the current 29 c feel so much more humid.

Cycled through a little storm on ride back from work earlier, just outside of Groombridge. Some entertainingly overhead flashes with instant thunder and a brief pulse of heavy rain which gave way to scattered large raindrops.

Back to sunny and crazy hot after that - there's a fair bit of black cloud to my East/South East but largely clear looking west (at home in Twells).

Edit: another storm now, heavy rain, thunder and breeze picked up fair bit.
