Yeah, thought you'd be pleased.
Maureen brings his 1980's-revival football to Anfield - park the bus and play long balls. Not criticising him, he does what's best to secure a result for his team, but it doesn't make for a good footballing spectacle. And, ultimately, despite him and immediate predecessors net-spending around £half-a-billion in 3 years, he's got his 'keeper to be thankful for, because only a few Premier League goalies could have pulled off both the saves from Can and Coutinho.
Amusing to note how pleased the Man U fans were with this result, despite it kinda rubbishing the Man U myth that, win, lose or draw, the fans only want adventurous football in the 'United way'. I hope they enjoy being 'the new Chelsea'. And Liverpool should take it as a compliment that by deploying Maureen's 'anti-football' gameplan, Man U are effectively conceding we're the better team before a ball is kicked.
