Yes not the best weekend for City keepers! Or high profile keepers in general after Courtois' clanger in the Chelski game earlier

Another Courtois moment of panic.

Of greater concern was the woeful refereeing in the Cahill incident: clearly fouled, arguably worthy of a yellow card, and it led to the second Swansea goal.

Chelsea dominated and were robbed yet again.

Indeed, Luiz and Cahill entirely lived down to my expectations.

I will stick by my pre-season prediction that the manager most likely to fail out of the favourites will be Conte.

Very good win , they have had a tough start to the season , they must be kicking themselves about the Burnley defeat.

That & dropping 2 points at Sperms when we should have sewn up all 3.

They can genuinely be title contenders, they just need to stop the damaging defeats to lower league opposition (ie, Burnley 2-0). Seems they only turn up vs the big boys. If that continues it'll be Europa League at best, and nobody wants that.

The first 'stand by the manager' thread of the season on Red Cafe. It has come earlier than even I expected.

Dropping points against teams lower-placed in the table is a problem.

WRT Burnley, saw an interesting report on the game, about how Burnley had identified that Liverpool like to pass the ball quickly & crisply to feet at pace. So they let the grass grow longer to slow the pace of the ball, then prepped their players to go for intercepts and close down fast, as Liverpool players would take time to adjust. Clever stuff. Liverpool will need to be able to adapt in future, whether on longer grass or boggy pitches.

Nothing official yet, but likely.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem though as Son is beginning to show what we know he's capable of. The jury is still out on Janssen, although I think he'll come good too.

Still can't get my head around employing that oaf Sissoko. Professor 'Dim' has described him as a world beater on his day. Which day? Which year even

Guardiola leaves Yaya Toure out of his Cl squad; Toure's agent has a rant; Toure is not picked for subsequent games.

Guardiola now clarifies that Toure won't be picked until and his agent apologise to him.

Good to see. These so-called star players are so far up their own arses you half expect only their studs (blades!) to be showing.
