The last couple of days have been dry here, but 0.2 mm of rain was recorded during yesterday at Edinburgh Gogarbank, probably due to condensation with the same thing happening at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh both yesterday, and on Sunday.
At Edinburgh Gogarbank, that now takes the total for this month so far to 31.4 mm, the total for this winter so far to 84.4 mm and the total for this year so far to 31.4 mm as at 7am this morning.
At the botanic gardens, that now takes the total for this month so far to 28.2 mm, the total for this winter so far to 74.6 mm and the total for this year so far to 28.2 mm as at 7am this morning.
Despite this drier spell of weather which we are experiencing just now, this month is still running quite a bit wetter than average just now both in terms of the actual rainfall amounts, and in terms of the number of official rain days.
There might be a bit of rain during tomorrow, especially first thing in the morning, although the rest of the week up until the weekend at least, is forecast to be mostly dry. However, the outlook then becomes more unsettled and wetter after that, especially as we go into next week.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
