Very hot today and my garden recorded 37.2C which often gardens higher than open areas.  i think Nuneaton had reached about 33-34C or so today as no offical station here.  Conservatory was 44.4C so that 3rd times to go to 44-45C range, 44.6C in May, 44.7C in June, the skies had gone a bit less blue this time. Saw some clouds over Leicester.  One thing to note the humidity dropped to 19% outside and in the conservatory.

Arpege was very good with the temperature and area today, 35C around W London. Tomorrow it goes for 36C around Somerset and Staffordshire/Shropshire. Could be a day for Yeovilton (assuming it is fixed now!)

30.2 here (with a stinking 21C dewpoint), making it the fourth day in a row and - to my knowledge - the first time that's happened. 1976 had four days hitting 30, but not consecuitive, and other years such as 1995 had more in the way of a sea breeze... 30C has always been rare in Leysdown!

A high of 34.1c here today, certainly the most 30s I have recorded in a year here.

Hazy cloud has reduced the temps down to 31.6c now with a slight breeze but the DP is up to 17c now so feeling more humid.

A high of 33C here today. Funny how I don't bat an eyelid at this temperature in the UK anymore.

The garden is 34c right now and the RH is 33%. that won't be anything like the official figure, which i believe is currently 5c lower, or there about. There is some slight breeze now, after being still most of the day and the fluffy clouds that appeared this early afternoon oon disappeared.

I've felt pretty sorry for our dog though, as it's hard work trying to find somewhere cool but he has enjoyed a couple of short/brief spray downs during the day, he's one that likes to try and bite the water, even from the watering can or the outdoor tap when attempting to fill said watering can! It's pretty funny and a good way to keep him comfortable.

I'm fairly sure the only time it's happened twice was 2020 too.

Another record that is ripe for the taking is the 30c in October, current record is 29.9, so the way things are going in 2026 that's another one to keep an eye on.

Very warm over night low of 20.9C now sunny and warming up to 22C.  Not sure why the apps going incorrect to show cloudy all day even in London? was correct before with full sunshine.

The past four days have been historic here - I don't think we've had 4 days in a row in the 30s before, and just look at these stats since Monday. No wonder the house is a sauna...

Models seems to have pegged back today’s temperatures a bit so it seems unlikely to best yesterday’s high. GFS ramps up the heat again next week though so still a chance of topping 35.5. UKV also has widespread 35s on Tuesday.

The Met Office is getting a little more bullish about some welcome rain from that Biscay low though they don’t mention that word 'welcome'. And it's only going to come in the form of thundery showers, so hit and miss I guess. The miss for IMBY based on previous experience though I’d love it to be different this time round.

They do add  "Staying hot, although an easterly breeze will bring a little relief in places." 'Relief' being the word they use here but the danger from fast spreading fires isn’t mentioned, though that's the greater fact than any transient wind relief.

BBC weather for the week ahead overnight was quite bullish about generally more unsettled weather next week. It looked to my like shallow low pressure with light winds and showers or storms rather than anything frontal. That implies to me that it will be hit and miss if it's rain you're after.

30C now and there some dry hot breeze around, more hotter than yestetrday.   Seeing above post from NMA I posted last week about the AC scams.  They really need to get a 9-5 jobs to earn money than scamming during the heatwave.

Waiting for the cool North Sea influence to kick in today. It's 22 C and if we get to 25 C before it does, we can officially join the heatwave club. First one since 2022!

Usually in a warm spell here, we get 2 days worth before the east wind and haar threaten. Fingers crossed 🤞

Hottest temps so far seem to be from Oxford down through to the Winchester area and a little patch in Dorset at 29c, we are currently 28c.

27s and a few 28s stretching up through the Midlands and elsewhere so only a few degrees difference.
