As for double figure negatives, I bet you would have seen them in 1987. And if I could get -14.8 back in 2018, I'm sure you'd be able to as well - I still remember that morning, checking the Met Office automated, and seeing -12. I laughed, but it ended up even colder!
You're colder than here now, it's -2.0. For whatever reason the rapid fall has slowed right down, even though skies are clear and there's no wind. Odd how that happens.
