Snowing nicely here now after a bit of a sleety start.   Just heavy enough now to start settling on some surfaces.

Dry here, seems to be stalling , I think we might miss it now based on today's model runs.

Well that developed quickly!

We're already up to 1cm deep and still coming down thick.

Steady snow here, just starting to develop a thin covering now on paths and cars.   Just a bit too warm here at the moment for it to properly settle.  Temp currently 1.8C.

According to the radar it should've been snowing for the past half hour in my location on the coast of the East Riding but it's dry as a bone...! Then again i do live in the snow-barren flatlands of the region...

Light/moderate snow and -0.6c.

1.5cm so far on most surfaces , looks stunning with all the snow in the trees.

Roads/pavements must be warm as only patchy covering on them.

Good to see it snowing in the Midlands and parts of the north so early in the year and actually somewhat better than predicted a couple of days ago I think?

Starting to develop a proper snow covering now, probably at least 1cm on most surfaces.  The snow has gradually got a bit heavier over the last hour, dropping the temp down to 1C.  A nice Winter scene developing here.

Moderate snow and settling on roads here, halfway between Kings Lynn and Wisbech. Bit surprised to be honest!

Radar looks like a rapid clearance east for the main band? Met Office warnings appear relatively accurate? Anyone here at lower levels seeing disruptive snow depths?

We need to look closely at how Saturday pans out. This is far too uncertain at this stage, but we are talking serious amounts of snow if the cards fall right. This could be a dangerous event for some.

There looks like a weather front up north just now on the satellite imagery. It will be interesting to see what it delivers when or if it heads this way.

Have to admit, I was NOT expecting an inch of snow on the ground in Evesham this morning!   Quite wet and already turning slushy in places, but nice to see.
