A good covering here this morning, helped by an overnight low of -2.7C

Huge flakes - nice to watch in lampost:

Still waiting here. The dodgy triangle of radar coverage near Winchester makes it hard to keep track of what is coming but it can’t be far away. Frost still covering the roofs and grass after an overnight low of -5C

Woken up to a covering of maybe 3 cm here in Whitchurch, north Hampshire. It's a winter wonderland out there! Very light snow flurries as I type this.

Still coming down, tiny flakes, reasonably heavy. Presumably the pivot is happening. Going up the hill to inspect, 5cm at 300m asl yesterday morning. Will sledge back down and report.

Heavy snow and large flakes in Chineham, Basingstoke. A good covering on all surfaces. Radar suggests maybe another half hour.
Nice to see but had hoped for a slower moving more prolonged band.

After the thunder claps at 6.30 snowing on and off until half an hour ago when it started snowing very heavily. Huge old-penny-sized flakes to start with but now the temperature has dropped a little the flakes are 1-2 cm across. Still coming down heavily and laying on all unheated surfaces.

Anyone got an educated guess at the pivot point?

It could be a lot further North than originally thought

Good to see so many getting snow.

No idea why the Met Office automated shows light and heavy snow here this morning. The precipitation band is so far away and skies are partly cloudy.

Yes about 10 miles South of my house!!! So I reckon it will get as far up as Liverpool, Buxton, Nottingham and then slip away.
