Yet again I had to endure a pathetically cloudy weekend only for the glorious sun to return today and yet again that sun has disappeared as soon as it hit 5pm. It's just stuck behind a cloud that keeps building and building over it while almost every other part of the sky is clear
Sick to death of this. Since I returned from my holiday the weekend/evening curse has been about the worst I can ever remember. The stark contrast between blue skies and sunshine during the weekdays and drab depressing grey muck at evenings and weekends has been unbearable.
The weekends have not been any better than last summer. We have now had three rubbish cloudy ones in a row and there looks to be a fourth on the way. It’s just unreal. The rest of the week doesn’t look great but nowhere near as vile as the wrist-slittingly awful washout conditions being saved for the weekend

An incredulously bad and depressing run befitting of 2007 or 2012. This is worse though, as at least in those repulsive summers I didn’t have a stifling office and house to endure while being unable to get the benefit of good weather. How the hell can a summer be considered decent when it is just weekend after weekend of grey and/or wet dross? To get four crap Saturdays in a row is as bad as it gets. I can’t recall ever getting a run of five in summer. Not even in 2007 or 2012 or July 2016 which had a horrendous four bad weekends in a row. So yet again we’re reduced to scraping from the bottom of the barrel
