ConclusionApril 2024 was a slightly warmer than average month overall although unlike in other parts of the UK which were actually warmer overall, our temperatures were fairly close to average although the number of air frosts was once again below average.
It was also a substantially wetter than average month with more than twice our 1991-2020 April average rainfall but most of that rain fell during the first half of the month with the second half of the month being much drier.
Once again though, April 2024 was yet another duller than average and to date, we still haven't had a sunnier than average month here since January.😡
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
