I assumed tomorrow would be a decent day with a couple of showers but now it looks like a substantial area of thundery rain. Still, perhaps worth it if there are some good storms.

First distant rumble of thunder heard about 10 minutes ago, seems like the shower is passing just to the NW of here so missing it again.

A few cells around but nothing here yet.  We’ll probably get a storm, with a power cut during the match!

There's something building to the west, Caz. We are going to sit outside and watch it before going in to hopefully enjoy the match.

Best.

I’m surrounded!   Radar showing something to my east, around Lincoln, south around Leicester and a little further west around Derby.

A few compact and sharp showers passing through here at the moment. Nothing thundery at the moment however.

East of the Pennines looks like the place to be this evening. Some good activity over that way.

Almost constant thunder for the past 45 minutes but no rain.  We won’t be able to hear it now though!    Good luck England!

Epic storm!  Big bouncy rain, hail, wind, constant thunder and lightning!  Satellite’s gone off.  Good job match is on terrestrial!

Some thunder and lightning here but nothing too dramatic, east Leeds might be getting hit hard.

Well, that really was a storm and a half.  We could hear the hail and thunder above the football and I was torn between watching the lightning or the match!  We do well for storms here but this one hit us with everything and really rattled the windows.

A decent storm here, though nothing on par with that amazing storm back in May (everything will look weak compared to that though). 21mm of rain from it, almost as much as we got for all of June!

Moved away now, still rumbling and flashing to the north.

You were right though, it definitely was big and it was heading your way but I think it stalled and burnt over us.  It rumbled at a distance for over an hour but when it arrived over us the power and length of it took us by surprise.  The driving hail was so intense we temporarily lost satellite reception and it’s damaged a lot of plants in the garden.  Great storm though!
