Got down to -0.7c here. It's the first air frost I've ever seen here in September. Most years, we won't see an air frost here until November. Not sure whether we got a record in RoI. I don't think that any of the official met stations did but on the National Roads Authority website, I did see Baltinglas at -3.3c which is close.
Data is not fully released yet for yesterday but I honestly doubt any records were broken here in the Rep, except perhaps for one or two individual stations, but the all time national low I think is safe. The lowest value at the synoptic stations was -1.7c in the midlands and -2.1 in the northwest, but as I said, we'll have to wait another few hours for yesterday's data from the climatological stations to be released by Met Eireann to confirm one way or the other.
Edit, -2.0c confirmed lowest yesterday so nowhere near the record achieved.
