This is proper snow, even though it isn't settling very well you can tell it's a very low dewpoint environment. Flakes themselves very dry, light and fluffy.

Partly cloudy, 3.8C with a strong NNE'ly.

Having been out in the garden earlier it really feels bitingly cold - subjectively colder than anything we had during the winter, doubtless helped by the low dewpoint (it's hovering around -2C).

Sunny  spells and wintry flurries.  5.6c, dp+0.4. wind gusty and moderate from NNE.

A day that reminds me of more "usual times" in the 1980s before we messed things up.

I just woke up a short while ago, thinking that it was earlier than what it actually was because I had forgotten that the clocks had just gone forward.

This means that we are now into what is known as British "Summer" Time which makes it seem weird that some people (including Quantum) are reporting snow in their neck of the woods.

This does however, mean that the new observation day for rainfall will now start at 10am every morning from now on, rather than 9am since this always occurs at 9z (09:00 UTC) every day.

Anyway and back on topic, there's nothing really all that interesting to report here as per usual in this most boring part of the UK when it comes to our weather (or rather, the lack of any actual "weather").

There is some cloud around with some sunny intervals as well. It is also chilly with a brisk northerly wind.

However, the pressure is very high here and at 9am this morning, the pressure at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 1048.4mb and rising.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 2.3°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 3.0°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 9am this morning was around 3°C.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

First day of British Summer Time and I've just seen the first wintry shower of the year here at Kent.

Had our wintry showers yesterday afternoon. Fine and bright here now but very cold, 4 C at 1100 with a light NE wind and 1049 mbs. I can see it's only 2 C back in the Ilkley area, hence the snow showers!

Low cloud with some sunny breaks, strong and blustery NE wind (gusts up to 30mph), no precipitation yet (though I can see some showers incoming on the radar).

6.1*C (DP -0.2*C), 64%RH, 1037.6mb rising slightly.

I haven't been outside yet to 'test the air' but I think I've found out enough about the conditions from reading the data. Brrrr.

Just had a moderate shower pass though here, which consisted entirely of soft hail.  The particles observed landing on the windowsill were all small, angular (not round) shaped, some transparent, some white and opaque, and up to 5mm across. No snow.
