The Sun has broken through quite nicely after a dull start, with the temperature here in Edinburgh up to around 7°C as at 12 noon (there is not yet any data for 1pm this afternoon, for any of my three local stations as I write).
There is still a bit of a breeze which isn't anything like as much as what it has been in recent days, but which will nevertheless still probably be enough to prevent us from getting a frost yet again during tonight (frosts appear to have become something which we never get here any more anyway, with these continuing to be England-only events according to that I have read on this thread so far, from elsewhere in the UK).
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
