After yesterday's massive deluge in this part of the world, it is nice to actually be able to start on a fairly dry note for a change and thankfully, the forecast for today isn't as bad.
I even managed to see quite a nice sunrise during this morning and at that point in time, it had looked as though we were actually going to go into a nice and sunny start to this morning.
However, that is usually always too much to ask for these days, and it wasn't long before it became much cloudier once again. In addition to that, it also looks as there must have still been the odd brief shower a while ago as a further 0.2 mm of rain has been recorded for today so far at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, though with nothing at all in that department at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
Last night's overnight minimum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 12.6°C and the temperature at 7am this morning was around 13°C here in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
