Some rain eventually arrived here, but not in any great amounts which means that in the end, a total of 0.4 mm of rain fell during yesterday at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 0.8 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

There was a brief drier spell a short while ago, but it is now raining here once again as I write.

With all of that cloud around around, the temperatures are once again, refusing to drop and in actual fact, the temperatures have gone up a bit over the last few hours.

Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 9.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.9°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The ludicrous, stupidly mild and boring rubbish continues.

A vile morning with heavy overcast and the usual horrid wind. Temperature at a hideous 9.1C already and the overnight rain amounted to very little - a paltry 2mm.

I've got about another hour of the rain pushing through but its grim with the dragged down cold airs making it feel raw!

I'm sure as we move into the dry behind it'll both brighten and warm.
