I very much doubt we could catch the chavs for 4th, but it'd be funny as fook if we did.

Actually, what could happen is we beat you and Shiteh and then lose at home to Birmingham.

Even funnier than your lot catching Citeh would be us finishing seventh, which is still mathematically possible as someone pointed out on the Spurs board tonight.

The worm finally seems as if it's beginning to turn now regarding 'Arry. At least I can claim I was sticking the boot in as long ago as February.

You don't really see him being replaced at Spurs do you??

I hope he stays another 3 or 4 years or he just might end up in the England job

He'll be staying for next season. If anything he's more likely to walk than get sacked.

Can't see him walking to be honest, he would love another crack at the champions league and he is not likely to get the Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man City jobs.

Unfortunately, I don't think Levy will pull the the plug. If I were Levy though I'd ban him from speaking to the meejah and tell him to get on with his day job.

With United virtually certain of the title, I wonder if they will field a second string lineup against the last day against Blackpool in order to rest players for the Champions League final?

Maybe a few players rested but I imagine that they'd like to see a set of home results which read:

P 19 : W18 : D1 : L0 ..........additionally of course if they do secure the Premiership title, the trophy will not be presented until the last day of the season, so I can't see them finishing without a win

It happened in 2007 against West Ham, so it's not impossible that it could happen again.

Has anyone noticed that Man Utd always get an easy last game of the season? In the past 6 years they have faced Southampton, Charlton, West Ham, Wigan, Hull and Stoke on the last day, just the kind of matches that a team challenging for the title on the last day would wish for. An odd coincidence don't you think?

And of course the FA know at the beginning of the season that Man U will be about to win the title at the end of the season and ensure they get a tie against a team the FA knows will be struggling at the end of the season...some conspiracy theory there

And if they do they should be heavily fined just like the team they will be playing were earlier in the season against Aston Villa

Well if they play the "second string" they did against Schalke they'll probably only win 2-0, or maybe they'll turn it on.......remember you only get fined if you lose Fat chance of that happening

How ironic for crouchie to score the goal last year that put spurs into the CL...............and he scores a OG to put Man City into the CL. Couldn't write the script.

LOL, the world has gone totally mad. Next season we'll have Stoke, Birmingham and possibly Blackpool in the Europa League.

Disappointing ending to the season IMO. The main interest will be to see whether one or more of Wenger, Ancelotti and Mancini get fired this summer.

Disappointing how? It's not outrageous to suggest Spurs overachieved last season. History certainly doesn't put them up there. I'm not sure how someone who 'supports' their team from the front room can ever understand the disappointment and exhuberance associated with actually being a football fan. One evening of slight disappointment, forgotten about the next day, or a good result washed down with a cup of tea then off to bed? As opposed to ploughing your hard earned into following your team at the ground for 9 months of every year, every week, not just the odd game Sky pick for them. Sharing your experiences with mates alongside you. Sharing the disappointments and celebrating the achievements? Not a clue.

Anyway, now I've got that off my chest, again, Spurs probably will be disappointed on the whole. Man City have bought 4th place, and even Liverpool enjoying a dead cat bounce under King Cunny are currently outperforming them. I'm sure Arry will be given money to spend, and despite the fact I don't like him, he will know what to do with it. If I had to choose between Wenger and Arry as to who was to make best use of my money I would be pick the cockney wide boy, and if you're choosing who you'd rather watch between Spurs and Man City, well, it's a no brainer. They may be 4th, but my god they are awful to watch. Spurs will be there or thereabouts next season again. Enjoy the ride. At least your seat is comfortable.

Some Sunderland fans are going to be shouting for Wolves tomorrow, such is the love for Mick McCarthy and the mindless hatred of Steve Bruce

I won't be one of them and if I hear them I'll be making my point to them quite clearly.

That's really happening? I know Sunderland haven't had the best of seasons, but it's better than a season of no promise - at times they have looked excellent and they have been absolutely ravaged by injuries in recent weeks/months so it's not like they've had a settled side for any length of time. Crazy!

Indeed Rob, since before the christmas break we have had large periods without either of our first choice centre backs, we have lost two of our main goal threats and have played the last 4 games without a recognised forward. However, with some of the supporters  up here, the fact that Bruce is a Geordie just can't be forgiven so facts need not get in the way of prejudice

Well at least you've had goal threats. I only wish we had this season.
