Fantastic lightning show here, mostly C-C, but a few C-G too. Every few seconds or so. Steady rain too.

Just had a good storm here. Not excessively heavy rain (local PWS recorded 4.2mm) but plenty of lightning, once every 5-10 seconds or so.

Started raining here in the last 20-30 mins some lightning observed, definitely getting closer as just heard thunder after last strike.

I wasn’t in the UK for these but looking at my vineyard PWS there was an interesting evolution around 12.30-1am:

Temperature rose from 15.2 to 19.4C in 10 minutes, then fell back to 15.2C

Pressure bumped up from 1014hpa to 1017hpa then back down again.

Wind rise from zero to 13mph then zero again, and from SSW to W before going back to SSW

7mm of rain in about 20 mins.

Sinilar here, but I’m not far from you so not surprising. (Have you moved from Arborfield?)

Took me by surprise as I hadn’t looked at the forecast.

Woken at about 0030 by an impressive  light show here, with continuous growling thunder.. sadly for the garden, just 10 mins of decent rain.

Last night's storm in/near Chichester came up from the south just after 2200 with pretty well continuous rolling thunder for half an hour, lots of mostly C-C strikes and a decent amount of rain before veering off to the E and giving Brighton/Worthing a hard time.

It rolled over here around 1.10am but by this stage the lightning discharges mainly cloud to cloud were about one every 2 minutes. Some gusty winds and a temperature of 19.2c was noted with its onset.

We've have a few showers this morning with a relatively healthy 6.6mm so far

16.1c so still very muggy.

Sounds like an interesting night down in the SE.
Was looking at the Sferics Maps last night and the number of strikes around Brighton and then up towards Crawley and SE London was amazing. Not seen anything like that for a long time here.

As storms went, it wasn't that particularly memorable where I've experienced far worse in the part but my lawn is appreciating the 12 mm of rain so far today (it is currently raining and this amount includes 6 mm from last night's thundery weather).

Yesterday evening  there was a very active storm a few miles west of me  with plenty of lightning although not as much rain as it looked. nothing directly overhead here so only spasmodic heavy bursts of rain . possibly a few more tomorrow.

We got the storm here last night, lasted for approximately 45mins to an hour. Couldn't miss it as our dogs bark at the thunder, which is a bit annoying and a lot of noise, so no one was sleeping through that here as it was shortly after midnight. I'm pretty relieved that we haven't had too many late night storms for that reason.

The rain was very heavy during the storm and when it was receding the wind seemed to pick up for a brief time, possibly a squall line as it cleared.

Estofex had a level 3 warning and it came to pass. Apparently could have been a mass outbreak of at least 6 tornados.

We had a sharp torrential storm after lunch here near Lincoln, Caz. I was wearing my new hearing aids when we got a good thunderclap! Wow! Never heard owt like that before! I was expecting to collect my other half after her bowling but it was clear by 4pm.

Hope you are all keeping well.
