Some very wet, sleety snow here as a trough passes over. That was quite a surprise, I didn't think we'd see anything!
I have been reliably informed we had a light covering of snow earlier, about 7.30am.
Snowing quite heavily here now.
Nothing here despite wintry showers being forecast we have temperatures of 13c in the sun and dropping to 12c under cloud? Many people reporting snow and heavy snow - are you sure it's actual snowflakes? It could be soft hail, sleet or ice pellets? Sometimes they do look similar remember, I recall many people shouting snow in March 2013 when in actual fact it was soft hail - I am would be very surprised if it's snow (pure snow) that's falling if you are recording temperatures of +5, +6c +7c.
We had light snow/graupel showers from 6:30 to 8:00 here but nothing settled.
Similar here - light snow for about 45 minutes to an hour but neither cold enough nor sustained enough to settle.
Now the sun is back out and it looks quite pleasant - until you step outside...
Just in passing - looking at the radar I think there may be a polar low developing in the North Sea, east of Aberdeen between Scotland and Norway.
Short spells of light snow here, not settling though. If it can snow here, it can snow anywhere. Temperature 4.7C, Dew Point -1.7C
A few snow flurries here at the moment.
Just had a slight flurry of soft hail/snow. I guess dew points are very low as it's 6'c
Temp dropped to 2.9C at Blackbushe now (dp -5.3C), and we just had a few minutes of moderate snow.
A flurry of snow (very light!) as another shower passes through. This time it wasn't the wet stuff, but the powdery dry type... inidcative of some very cold air aloft!
4.7C, dew -2.2C.
EDIT: It fell to 4.6C, -2.6C as I was writing this!

So with powdery dry snow and outside air temperatures of almost +5c. Wow! New to me. Must be cold air aloft then for snow to fall at such high temperatures?
We had a few minutes of icy hail then that was it - temp of +9.5c.
