light snow in Morningside now. not much to speak of as yet, but a good sign that it's cold enough when the precip peps up later. (crossing everything that Edinburgh doesn't miss out as usual)
As said on t,other thread snow settles on all surfaces still mod/heavy fall

I really thought you would be seeing snow by now.
Some of the short term models seem to have called this well unlike the METO with 'may turn to snow over the N Pennines before it clears away'.

Still mod/heavy snow in Burnley, all white on the nite all surfaces now covered and then some
Settling now in Morningside, side roads rather dangerous and even the main roads are starting to get covered Braids and Buckstone. This could get interesting!
A great patch of heavy PPN developed from nowhere and gave up half an hour or so of heavy snow, turning everywhere white (2-3cm widely). Looks on the radar like that's it for now, but hoping for a repeat before the night's out.
Then for it to freeze under clearer skies.
