Its another bust....the completely snowless winter of 2019/20 continues here. The showers pushing into North Kent are falling as rain with temps typically 3 to 4c in those areas.

Just need Thursday to avoid the wintry stuff and we've done it !

A new high water mark with regard to our ever warming climate.

But yes impressive to see beachfront snowfall in Felixstowe from cold zonality!

Did make me look at my favourite street lamp just for a split second.

But, naaa, as expected there's nothing to report snow-wise at this end. Had a spell of moderate rain in late afternoon resulting in 2.6 mm for today.

Some more patchy snow on the lawn and cars this morning , looks like there was a heavy shower around 5am which clipped here and has now mostly melted.
Looks white just to the south of here on the hills around Pudsey and Bradford from just below 200m upwards. Probably a third consecutive chaotic morning of travel in the hillier parts.

Was down at meetings in the SE yesterday and was driving back mid-late afternoon. Temp was around 8c near London and fell only gradually as I moved north to 6.5c until I reached near Leamington Spa on the M40 when I hit the first heavy shower of hail/sleet/snow. Within a minute the temp had dropped to 2.5c, then the drop slowed but ended up at 1.5c during a particularly heavy wet snow shower on the M6 toll road. There was a thin sheen of icy stoff on the grass, but no lying snow. Driving was fun!

Once out of the showers, the temp recovered to 4c, before then falling away again as I continued north.

At home, the showers have mostly started as hail then turned to snow, but again nothing sticking (apart from a temporary covering of hail). Walked into work from the car park in a freezing wind and heavy wet snow shower.

Yes Tim 3rd snowfall this week in Ilkley. A smattering at 150m but white above 200m. Looks great looking NW up Wharfedale

If I'm allowed to post in here because of a brief sleety/hail shower then yay, that's what just happened.

If not I'll get my coat, but not the proper winter coat as I've not bothered with it this year because it's been too warm

Had a day off so went out to Deeside and the snow amounts were pathetic. Nothing east of Banchory which had patchy cover. Completely snow free in the village of Kincardine O'Neil and not even anything on the surrounding hills. Aboyne had a few cm.

Basically what you would expect from a marginal snowfall on the coast and this is two days after the only snowfall of the winter in inland Aberdeenshire, 25 miles from the coast. Would have needed to go out to Braemar to see anything decent but didn't have the time and surprise surprise the weekend looks hopeless again.

Terrible doesn't begin to describe this useless non-winter
