I saw a couple of flakes of sleet amongst the rain over the hills (~200ft asl) a few miles from home this morning. Nothing at home, though (~30ft asl), and nothing at work (~100ft asl).

We have 2 or 3cm of snow - enough to make everything look pretty. Good call by the Met Office for my area.
Currently living at roughly 65m asl North of Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Formerly of, Birdlip, highest village in the Cotswolds and snow heaven in winter; Hawkinge in Kent - roof of the South downs and Isles of Scilly, paradise in the UK.

The UKV let me down - nothing here this morning. Higher parts of the region have a covering.

Edit - I take that back.. there’s a light dusting on cars so it must have snowed a bit in the early hours.

I can confirm that I have officially now seen my first flake of snow. Two days ago was unofficial.

Two days from spring and 'winter' has finally arrived in London.

Naturally it was very wet and no chance of any settling snow whatsoever.

Proper snow but very wet and never a hope of settling. And it’s actually just turned back to mostly rain!

A bit of snow mixed in the rain and sleet here in Chelmsford. At least I have seen a few flakes of snow before the end of winter
