UK Outlook for Sunday 23 Sep 2018 to Tuesday 2 Oct 2018:
A fine, but cool start to the weekend is likely in most parts of the UK, with the best of the sunshine on Saturday expected in eastern areas. However, through Saturday wet weather is expected to arrive across the west, perhaps pushing across the UK on Sunday, potentially also bringing strong winds. Atlantic weather systems are then likely to continue to arrive from the west through the rest of the period bringing generally wetter conditions in the northwest, and drier conditions persisting for longest in the southeast. Strong winds are likely at times, particularly in the northwest with a low risk of gales. Inbetween spells of rain there will be some pleasant sunshine and these more settled spells may become more dominant with time.
UK Outlook for Wednesday 3 Oct 2018 to Wednesday 17 Oct 2018:
October will see periods of dry and fine weather at times, especially in the south and southeast where there may be some warm days. Occasional spells of more unsettled weather are likely, mainly in the northwest where there is a risk of gales and heavy rain at times. These conditions will perhaps occasionally extend across other areas too. Overall daytime temperatures are likely to be close to or slightly above average in the southeast with a cooler feel under cloud and rain in the northwest. However the lengthening nights means that there will be some cool overnight temperatures, with an accompanying risk of patchy morning fog in prone spots.
