The Hadley provisional mean is way too bigh. This is largely because we have had some very cold nights at Pershore this month which the data which is not fully reflecting at present. I estimate that the current figure is about 0.3C too high.

Here are my latest stats for October. Currently expecting a final figure of 10.75C notwithstanding the very mild finish too the month. Overall an average month relative to the 1981-2010 mean.

Thank you GW.

I was way too high with my guess but it's been an interesting month and an interesting year to date. Here's hoping it continues through the next couple of months!

Today's 16C has bumped mine up to 9.3C  (-0.5C)
Year is on 9.4C so not going to be a warm one with two lowering months to come.

Interesting times indeed with the table so tight at the moment. I managed a second good guess in a row this month which is pushing me nicely up the table. Looking for a strong finish like last year when I snuck into second place with my fairly bold December prediction.

November looks like another opportunity for a bold prediction but it could be dangerous. I have yet to make a final decision but I know what I am sorely tempted to go for

I will not be looking at any of the PMs I have received until I make up my mind about my own prediction. Will post my prediction late tomorrow evening just before the deadline.
