0-0 between Manure and Sh.iteh a fair result; Manure because they parked the bus for the entire second half, Sh.iteh because they were too incompetent to score.

The lack of ambition from what is not a particularly good Manure team would be depressing were I a Manure fan.

But I'm not, thank God.

However, a Pochettino switch to 4-4-2 (after 3-4-3)  in the second half put paid to that. Palace - Zaha and Townsend excepted - didn't have the legs and Fat Sam didn't have  plan B.

Spurs are paying very well.

What I don't understand is why you can't just celebrate that rather than indulge in gratuitous insults about opposition players and managers?

Did you see the match? I wasn't insulting anyone, just merely making an observation about how the match unfolded.

As for Spurs, they didn't actually play that well, principally because they weren't allowed to; especially in the first half. That is precisely why Palace didn't have the legs in the second half.

Quite; that's why we need to try and win the title this year because we may not get the chance for a couple of seasons.

P.S. I was reading through RAWK last night and there seemed to be a lot of bedwetting going on regarding the Dippers not getting CL football next season. I think it's being far too pessimistic.

Bedwetting for good reason. You seen our run-in? It's nearly all against teams in the bottom half. And you know how much we arse it up against those teams.

Think Klopp has been too inflexible at times against lower-placed opposition. Playing Palace we went 1-0 up and it was obvious they had a gameplan to sit deeper by packing their own half, absorb pressure away from their box, then hit on the break. After taking the lead we should have dropped deeper to get a stalemate situation - if they then started to come forward, then they leave space. A win last week and i'd have been confident, but now...

We need to stop the Salford spunkstains getting top 4 (I know they've the EL route, but it's a tough comp to win). They're going to throw another quarter-billion at trying to buy the title this summer. And they'll likely chase some of our targets. We need to grab every advantage in the market that we can.

Christ MOTD is going to be a trial tonight. 4 goals. That equates to about 10 minutes analysis per goal.

Skipped it to watch the Joshua-Klitschko fight on a stream. Glad I did, it was an epic,

Not that I was genuinely expecting them to get anything, but Swansea another team meekly going down at Old Trafford (although the stats show a fairly even game with 3 shots on target each). Of course, as is f***ing typical, Scum-U get a penalty in injury time. Don't know if it's a genuine pen or a dodgy reffing decision, but they're the jammiest team I've ever seen.

Your lot should be reasonably happy with today's results - they could have been a lot worse.

As for Woolwich - despite what the pundits said - MOTM had to be Cech. He saved them from an absolute hammering.

Beaming with the results yesterday. That is, until tonight when we contrive to lose to Watford.

I see the Scum-U penalty was a complete cheat - keeper came rushing out, Rashford knocks it to the left then falls into the keeper (who's retracting his arms by this stage). First contact is when Rashford is halfway fallen down. Well done Swansea, though - they didn't meekly surrender after all. To cap it all off, another couple of injuries for Maureen to whinge about

Your guys keeping the pressure on Chelski - but how frustrating is it when you see your rivals have what on paper is a tough game but their opposition roll over.

When you look at the penalties awarded yesterday in the Manure and Shi.teh games the argument for retrospective action becomes obvious.

My solution for players caught diving? Retrospectively book them/suspend them and also striking the goals off.

I think you need an in-game review system - 'video ref'. Both rugby types use it, and it does create excitement. The problem is if it's introduced for penalties, the clamour for off-sides (which can be much harder to judge) will quickly become deafening.

I too would be on favour of the introduction of such a system, but in my view it should be limited purely to deciding upon 1966 World Cup Final-type incidents- was it over the line or not. If it was used for penalty decisions and possibly other controversial situations, it could slow up the rate of a game a lot.

One way round that would be to rule on any contentious decisions at half time. Any goals gained from provably dubious penalty awards could then be struck off in time for the second half.

But as the adage goes, goals change games. Changes in tactics, formations and substitutions can't be taken back at half time. I would say that we should be able with all the cameras at top flight games to get a decision on obvious diving/simulation within 20 seconds of the incident. Otherwise, I think retrospective punishment for simulation is a good step forward.

Just saw the following posted up on the Beeb website offering ways Liverpool can improve by going into the transfer market.

Good luck with this shopping list.

Hassan_Anfield: We need at least 5 new signings. A new GK (Ter Stegen) CB (Van Dijk) LB (Ryan Sessegnon) A Speedy winger & Striker (Aubameyang)

Yeah, I know. Speedy wingers are like rocking horse poo these days.

Seriously, because we don't pay mega-ultra-bucks, 9/10 times we'll lose out to a Citeh, Chelski or Scum-U who'll just throw an extra £100k a week at the player. The positive is that Klopp, much like Poch, can often identify a player considered the tier or two below the top echelon but who has the potential to get to that 'all the mega-rich clubs would like them' bracket. I mean, how much us Ali worth? Even players like Mane & Matip at Liverpool. When you look at how Scum-u especially have been suckered into paying stupid money for a flavour of the month player in recent years... but who's failed to deliver.
