I have a feeling August will be another significantly above average month. The models are not really showing any signs of significant warmth at the moment but I think that will change as we go through the month. I am tempted to go for something very warm indeed but I am going to hold back a bit given the lack of support from the models currently.

So 17.6C is my prediction

I'm tempted to call this the first below average month of the year, especially now the Express has called it a killer heatwave. I'm tempted to go for something lower than my prediction below, which would be the lowest prediction so far, but I'm chickening out given my current good standing in this contest.

So, 16.8C is my watered down entry...
