That makes no sense at all. Maximums weren't much above 14.4°C and minimums somewhere in the single digits...!

It looks like a mistake. The table of daily values hasn't had a figure entered for the 11th. I'm sure it'll be corrected tomorrow.

Well it looks like October will be a very warm month. It is somewhat cooler at the moment and will be for the next few days but after that much milder weather returns.

Currently Hadley is at 13.89C but my CET estimate is 13.49C to yesterday so already a substantial difference there. As usual the provisional Hadley data is far too high.  

My figure is much closer to Philip Eden's which is at 13.6C currently. Hadley often comes in slightly lower than Philip's figure. http://www.climate-uk.com/

By the 27th I currently expect the CET to be around 12.43C. So we could be looking at a similar October to 2011 which saw a CET of 12.6C.

Here are the predictions for October. 64 in total. Most people have gone way too low unless we get a sudden cold snap at the end of the month.

Back at the end of September, I thought that we'd be seeing the strongest troughing to the NE rather than W/SW during the second half of October. While some of the models have trended slightly in that direction, it's not looking likely at this stage... in many ways predicting conditions beyond two weeks range is futile.
