Well it looks like October will be a very warm month. It is somewhat cooler at the moment and will be for the next few days but after that much milder weather returns.
Currently Hadley is at 13.89C but my CET estimate is 13.49C to yesterday so already a substantial difference there. As usual the provisional Hadley data is far too high.
My figure is much closer to Philip Eden's which is at 13.6C currently. Hadley often comes in slightly lower than Philip's figure. http://www.climate-uk.com/
By the 27th I currently expect the CET to be around 12.43C. So we could be looking at a similar October to 2011 which saw a CET of 12.6C.
