It's taken several days, but at long last the Met Office text forecast cottons on to the fact we're likely to get convective stuff off the North Sea later tomorrow down here!
This is a very wintry update from the Met Office - it's the SE local forecast, of which Kent is the only county to have North Sea coasts.
Sunday:
A dry day with plenty of sunshine. However still feeling bitterly cold with strengthening winds through the day. Some snow showers are expected near North Sea coasts during the evening. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Extremely cold. Snow showers developing, becoming widespread and heavier later Monday. Frequent, occasionally heavy snow showers continuing Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to locally significant accumulations. Becoming windy from Tuesday.
