Great results for Chelsea and Arsenal last night all but sealed their passage thru to the next round job done.

Man U play Bursaspor tonight and i am pretty sure SAF will have his players really fired up for this one after the Rooney announcement i am sure he will want to make Old Trafford a fortress again and give the players "the everyone is against us" speach. Home win by a few goals .

Inter v Spurs on paper looks like a fantastic contest tho i think Inter will probably null  Spurs attacking play. If Spurs go gun hoe over in Italy they could lose by a margin of a cple of goals..Inter are very shrewd and an Inter win for me.

Rangers v Valencia  head tells me an Valencia win    -  heart tells me a stuffy draw. I think Rangers will set out to defend and look to counter. Valencia are a very good team and may just be to strong for Rangers but i am going for a draw.

Spurs will be looking (well I will be) for a draw. I can't even see that, what with Defoe, Dawson, Van Der Vaart and King out. 2-0 or 3-1 to Inter.

Good wins for both English sides last night

I expect Manu to win and Spurs might actually nick a draw

Fantastic, 3 down after 14 mins and also down to 10 men. This could be a major rout.

Another great point for Rangers (And we should have probably won fairly easily)

Magnificant performance in the second half. Inter went to sleep towards the end of the game. Will prove interesting when they come to WHL. They clearly can't cope with Bale. Just wait for Van Der Vaart to get stuck in too. The Inter defence could well be shredded. Problem is, ours may well be too.

Indeed John. That's five point that the Gers have in the bag now- three more than we had at the end of the group stage last season. Even if we don't make it to the next round of the CL, we must be in with a decent chance of getting the Europa League spot.

So nearly a draw for Spurs, with the other game in the group ending 1-1, Tottenham must fancy their chances of going through

Bale saw his chance with the older members of the Inter Milan team especially wearing out somewhat. They expended a lot of energy during the first half, of course.

How Bale exploited that chance... well, lets just say I was up off the couch rooting for him despite being neither a Spurs fan nor Welsh! Very well done that man.

A fair chance of grabbing 2nd and a CL place...tho realistically i feel the Europa league beckons. Still a good achievement for Walter and the team.

Subdued performance by Man U and with a few changes in the team..3pts and i guess after the Rooney nonsense SAF would take them with pleasure.

When you look at the team SAF put out last night (and I know it was with the weekend in mind) you do worry a little for Man U though, they certainly won't be challenging for the league this year with the current squad IMHO and although I can't agree with the way Rooney has gone about it and hate the little donkey befriending ogre more than ever, you have to agree with his statement.

SAF just barked 30 trophies in 20 years at the reporter who put Rooney's accusations at him, but Liverpool would have said the same in 1992 and they have won very little since

He is maturing into an excellent player... If Spurs can challenge for the Prem and in Europe why should he leave..? I think Spurs are only two or three players away from being a potentially Prem winning team. Tho Spurs do have a habit of selling some of their best (so called hmmm Carrick cough cough ) talent at over inflated prices.

Part of the problem defensively is the injury problem. I was astonished to hear last night that Spurs have employed the same defensive pairing in only three out of the last 14 games. Now admittedly, Ledley King usually only plays every other game in any event, but even so it is still a shocking statistic and partially explains why the back four can often be abysmal.

Bale tearing a new ******** for Maicon again. Inter are far from out of this game though.
