Fairly sure when cooler weather hits I'm going to suffer as I've pretty much acclimatised now to the heat after almost a month. Even after the June heat indoor temperatures struggled to drop much here and there was only a couple of days that didn't exceed 24C. 

Last night cycling home in 21C with a breeze i felt rather chilly in shorts & t-shirt. 

Today is looking like the 6/7 day with temperature hitting 30C .

Oh and where are the thunderstorms - whenever we have heat there seems to be a lack of thunder and lightning which I use to enjoy watching /hearing! My grass is brown in garden. We REALLY need rain!!!

Expect a flood of migrants from the south if that keeps up! Two of my neighbours have been looking up properties in Scotland with half a mind to move up there... great weather (as in you can sleep and do stuff outdoors easily in summer, you often get snow in winter), great scenery, cheap houses, barely any people, so no sitting in 2-mile tailbacks each evening, better infrastructure (compare the bus service on Arran, population ~4600 with Sheppey, population ~40000), they even have A&E on Arran too!

I'm sure there are downsides, but right now there'll be lots of people looking enviously at Scotland....

Last year was the warmest spring on record until this year. This year was the warmest spring on record until... well, we'll see.

It's been hairdryer after sauna here since late May with the expected 'English monsoon' as a break. But we've been roasting now for weeks.

Is that a moan or a gloat?

This is from a local weather station. Although not official it's been running for many years and used to almost always be on par with the old metoffice Solent station so it's fairly accurate. Obviously this is towards the coast of Gosport and Portsmouth city and it's northern districts will have been hotter.

That does not sound right. My diagnosis of early Heart issues was in 1999 during a hot spell. These eventually became serious in 2019. Your GP may offer a health check, BP, ECG. If you have not already had one perhaps ask the question?

I see that the June UK maximum temperature record of 37.7C at Lingwood Norfolk recorded on 26th June has been re-evaluated as 38.0C following a more detailed study by the Met Office
