A wonderful summer's day here, a reminder of how it used to be and how much we've lost in recent decades!
Early rain left a cloudy start, but then the clouds broke up and - along with a gentle breeze - the dewpoint dropped back to where it used to be, 13C or so for much of the day.
It's been a perfect day for doing stuff, and I'd set things up to take full advantage: I took my puppy to the woods a couple of miles away, I've been pruning the trees in the garden, and all without being seared or baked. It's only 22C indoors, so no need for a/c or windows open tonight... bliss!
It's currently 20.9, dew 12.3, with a high of 21.4. There was 9mm of rain overnight and into the morning, and the ground is still damp in shady spots.
What a shame that was a one-off - a much sunnier day tomorrow, then the heat and humidity returns.
