Slightly cooler today but still managed 30c in my sheltered garden. 22c now so nice and refreshing outside , the house is like a furnace. 

I know that you and Jerry live in roughly the same part of Edinburgh and as Jerry often reports on the data from the weather station at Swanston, I know that the Swanston area is also very close to where you live. I'm guessing that this might even increase the chances of you and Jerry actually bumping into each other, possibly without actually knowing that (if you did, that would certainly make a very interesting topic for somewhere like the Forum Arms forum on here).

I must say though, that the view from there is incredible and on a clear day, I'm sure that you would probably even be able to roughly make out where I am here in NW Edinburgh as I also have a good view all the way to the Pentland Hills from my south facing kitchen window.

Even at this very late time of the day, the sunshine has still been a bit too strong for that easterly muck and because of that, this evening has been mostly sunny even here in NW Edinburgh. However, I have a good view of this low cloud enveloping the top of Arthur's Seat in the distance and now that the Sun is about to set, this is now finally giving that low cloud a chance to properly roll in but as I write, that still isn't happening just yet which means that for now at least, we still only have odd bits and pieces of that along with a little bit of high cloud above that.

EDIT:

In the end, a total of 14.4 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank so this means that as expected, today wasn't quite as sunny as yesterday although today's total is still a very impressive one.
