Disappointing for you, then, even if everyone else would be glad to have lower winds than forecast!
It's only just begun here... standard strong SW'lies at the moment, plenty of whooshes and creaks, with gusts generally in the 40s (models have low 50s instead, so overcooking it by about 7 mph). The models all show a sharp ramp up to mid to high 50s in the next 3 hours, then it plateaus for the rest of the morning. Can't say I'm looking forward to it!
The good news, if any, is that tonight's NW'lies/northerlies have decreased a bit, staying in the high 40s rather than the mid 50s.
Hope those in the west are faring okay...
