Looking like it will be a month of two halves for the CET. It's much milder now and is looking mild with high night time temperatures in general in the CET region for the foreseeable future. Some hints of something cooler late in the month but overall I'm expecting quite a rapid rise between now and month end.

Indeed not and I'm certainly not giving up on my 6.75C prediction. I feel it might take a few days of real warmth though to get it up there as there is a lot of ground to make up by month end.
I most definately need a good month after a poor start to the year!

Yes, it’s always a tall order when we get to mid month and we’re relying on high nighttime minima. I’ve had a good start to the year, as I often do, but I’m hoping, for a change, I don’t spoil it!  🙄
