A 'friend of a friend' reports a similar total at Charlton in the Downs N of Chichester. The "14 inches" (350mm) quoted is probably best regarded as a ballpark figure since it originates from someone whose primary interest is gardening, not weather.

ADDED Groundwater levels from the nearby Chilgove well have gone from (re-cap here) 34.27 m asl on Nov 1st, only a whisker above the record miimum for that date of 33.97 m, to 60.43 m this morning (29th) well above the long term average 50.5 m. The Lavant, the local winterbourne is now flowing, and a further rise to 75 m would result in serious groundwater flooding.

Truly incredible totals for both West and East Sussex  at least on a par with Oct 2000 but fir many possibly the wettest of any month on record  in the county as the Oct  2000 300 mm plus areas were limited to areas around uckfield and lewes . 318 here to end the month .

On the weekend of the 12th, I put a brand new and very good tarp over our youngest's trampoline (after collapsing the sides). The trampoline's a rectangular one, 12'x10'.

By last weekend, there was a pond covering most of it, around 8" at its deepest. Spread over the full 12'x10', it would have been around 3" deep. That's not far from the total that we'd have had. In a week.

I had to bail over half off before I could even - in a Britain's Strongest Man stylee - begin to lift one side to tip the remaining water off.

The plus is that the tarp has shown to be very waterproof!

Total rainfall for November here is 95mm (172% average), making it the 5th wettest November in the last 40 years here.    By some fluke, October 2022 also produced exactly 95mm here!

Total Autumn 2022 rainfall here is 223mm (137% average).   That makes it the 4th wettest Autumn I've recorded.

Like many others though, I'm sure that you're probably still getting used to all of the recent changes to this forum and might not have spotted that, especually if you are still set up to view only 5 posts per page which is the default.

If you go into your user settings though, you can change that default to one of a number of options up to 50 posts per page. That way, you will be able to see a lot more of what is there and be less likely to miss any new threads which appear.

Finished on a ludicrous 191.6mm here - the wettest month I have ever recorded and probably the wettest month since November 1997 🤢

My record daily Novmber total was broken twice. Firstly on the 1st with 33.0mm then again on the 17th with 38.4mm.

Autumn total was even more preposterous at 426.6mm - previous wettest season was just 348.8mm. Getting over 400mm is  truly astonishing and I doubt there has been more than 5 or 6 seasons in over 150 years this wet. Nearby Mannofield site had only two seasons (Autumn 1960 and Autumn 1984) with over 400mm between 1931 and 1989.

A truly detestable, ridiculously unpleasant season ☹
