14.0mm at the beginning of the Cotswolds. The monthly total is now 119.39 mm.
It's incredible that we have recorded twice that amount
Still ticking along nicely. 174.8mm.

185.0mm. Not far off from the magic (and almost unheard of, 200mm).
GFS predicts another 30mm here by the months end. Its now looking more than achievable.

yes very likely I'd say .over 250 here now . Looking back over the rainfall records for eastbourne over the past 60 years this could well be the wettest month . Only Nov 60 Octa 87 and 2000 come close and still a week left !
I'd love to know what the wettest month ever recorded along the south coast is. October 2000 stands out but from memory the most extreme rainfall fell further west of here. I'm thinking we are near record breaking levels here too.
Another effortless 11mm has fallen this evening. We are now standing at 196mm !
I'm at 209 mm. I'm sure both our gauges tally up as you've been known to record higher rainfalls than me.
During the wet season (mid October through to mid December) you will always tend to record more thanks to your closer proximity to the coast and those heavy showers.
We certainly got what some people asked for, and a whole lot more this month
