Want to experience hot house and to get a record indoors as well. 35C was the highest in 2003 now kitchen 37C as it facing the south and the hot air from the alleyway enter here by the door. Just enjoy yourself and don't worry about me. I have my own life.
You're a TWO legend, Jiries
When I am in my wooden greenhouse/shed I always think of Jiries and how much he would like a shed with loads of big glass windows.
Now 37C at Manchester Airport. Astounding.
Exactly this!I suppose at my ripe old age I should be aware that nuance in an internet forum is always lost!BTW I love the fact that Jiries is doing the opposite to others and actively heating his house!

We're all looking in the wrong place for the UK record, surely it's going to be Jiries house. Get the oven and hairdryer on Jiries and its a sure thing!
Mentioning greenhouses, I have managed to restrict mine to 42.5 with regular damping down, and shade netting. Considering its 40c outside I'm quite happy with that. Just given the Toms another drink despite a good watering at 9am.
Where is the quickest place to get the hourly updates?Weatherobs seems to be taking a while...
I think it's the synop feed being slow. Ogimet also hasn't updated half the stations yet.
"Winter is coming"Well, not 'winter', but certainly cooler temps as the cooler air moves NE'wards.Hawarden on the Wales/Cheshire border has fallen from 36c to 33c in the last half hour. West of that, temps are down to mid-20's.The Merseyside stations are stable at 36c for now, but will begin their decline; Manchester may squeak a 37c but it'll have to be quick. Ah well, it's been a blast! (of furnace-like air)Let's see what you guys further east can get to (hope somewhere takes the record off Heathrow!!)

Liverpool JLA now down to 33c, as the breeze swings more W'ly and increases.
Manchester Airport has just hit 37c.
I was going to suggest he turns his heating on... his house would probably show up on some Met O anomaly map!!
He really is. He is to Summer what Gary Sarre was to winter
My local weather station is now above 39C and heading upwards fast.
Any word on data delays?
Gusty winds here.We were derailed slightly by an area of high cloud that back-built annoyingly but now moved away.37.1c now and climbing. So we have reached the 1990 national record. How long before the "cooler air arrives? Potentially another half an hour only here.
Are you doing nothing to try to keep the temperature inside cooler??
I'm not either.
28.9c inside actually feels like a fridge compared to the 36.2c outside.
It's all relative. Walking inside the house after being in the garden for a couple of minutes feels so cool !
