Thunder rumbling away to the south and southeast of Edinburgh....very long rumbles. Rain just starting
Yes, I have just head a rumble of thunder in the distance. As I write, it has also gone very dark and it is absolutely chucking it down with rain here now.
Starting to get distant rumbling thunder here now. Less than an hour ago there were just two very distant towers to the SW, amazing how quickly those storms have developed and are now on the verge of our area already.
Lots of thunder, a bit of lightning and only a few spots of rain. Now back to sunshine but black clouds all around.
Not a sausage here, Caz - yet. The wind had got up a bit so maybe something will come by.
The radar shows a few signals near Lincoln. Promising clouds look a long way off.
Roger
Heard distant thunder in your direction Caz, but looks like this first cluster of storms has missed us. Just a few spots of rain here so far. More storms brewing further south as I speak though.
An overhead shower just then, with some large clouds going up over the Pennines just east of here. Feeling extremely humid now too.

Nothing yet south of Lincoln, Andy. Cloud is building now towards Waddington in the west and Horncastle to the east.
Fingers crossed.
Frequent rumbles here now, no rain yet, may miss to the east but hard to tell.Muggy 26.4c and overcast, high 27.2c.
Missed here to the west.
I was wrong has hit here direct, torrential rain, hail, lightening and thunder. Very dark, best storm for a while.
Alarms going off too. Really intense .
Glad you got a good storm Tim!
Thanks Jerry. Looks like Ilkley might be getting hit now too.
At least 12mm from it . I had to go and put my rain gauge upright during the worst of it as it was on its side. Brightening up now.
