37 here in Horseheath.
I have a 38C on my weather app, which means somewhere in London has tipped the scales of at least 37.5C
My iPhone app has downgraded the max from 39 to 38... although oddly it still shows 39C as the hourly figures for 3pm and 4pm!
Incredible heat in Northern France. 40C in Dunkerque for heavens sake:https://actualite.lachainemeteo.com/actualite-meteo/2019-07-25/suivi-canicule-records-de-chaleur-pulverises-40-5c-a-lille-51708
Paris has a new record of 40.6C
Actually 41.7C according to Meteo France. https://twitter.com/meteofrance/status/1154381430476222469/
So disappointing isn’t it.
Probably down to Stansted or Cambridge to hopefully get to 38 before the cloud and rain arrives then
34C now here. I hope somewhere will reach offical 100F so that both July and August will see 100F. 40C seem very hard to get due to clouds reports, why they have to rush in too early and ruin it as normally they form late in the afternoon or evening not midday to early afternoon. Still sunny here.
Stansted AP must be close to 100f now still hardly any clouds here. Is it an official station though?
Dont forget Faversham (Brogdale). It doesn’t report automatically, but Headcorn just to the South - and not typically a hotspot - is at 36C and there’s no cloud over Kent.
This is the second time this has happened with recent record attempts. It’s even started to rain.
I'm guessing the 2pm report will have some near 38C reports.
I can't see us getting to 38.5C now though.
Eyes down for the 3pm readings...Heathrow first to show with a dip to 36.7C :(
Infuriating.
