Ok, this is amazing now....

35.0C just reached at 2.10pm.   That has completely smashed my all-time recorded max of 34.0C on 3rd Aug, 1990.   Still time to go higher.  My records go right back to 1982.

We've taken #2 if that's any consolation.

2nd hottest day on record at least.

Lots of fluctuating temps recorded at www.winchesterweather.org.uk, but looking like the all-time site figure (35.0) may be safe. Has reached 33.9c at peak so far today, but cloud amounts, though variable, are generally increasing.

My Vantage vue station is now recording 35.0 c on the nose but the sensor is still currently exposed to the sun. However, that said it recorded 21.5 c this time yesterday mid-afternoon and that was also in full sunshine.

Edit: Still climbing to 35.2 c.

This is very likely to be the hottest CET max on record. Even using the highest hourly values so far recorded gives a max of 33.1C

Edit: 33.5C. Hottest on record for sure
