I usually associate it with the proximity of its airport runway with the beach!

Might as well end this one as it is wasting bandwith. If you were right it's too late now and was never going to happen when it would have worked. We've got it now so any new entrants will have no effect. End of.

And said speedboat jackknifes and hits another car, and 2 ambulances are called and a police car and a fire engine. Occupant of car hit is asymptomatic with CO-19, spreads it to the fireman, policeman and one of the Ambulance crew. Ambulance goes onto to 8 other calls that day, and spreads it to them and so on. It is isn't just about isolating, it is about stopping journeys that are not needed to not overstretch the blue light services.

You have to use common sense and understand how not to cross contaminate. But I see the point about unnecessary journeys but the level of enjoyment seems to be bring used as part of the "you shouldn't be doing it  rather than the risk, which was the point I was making.

As we thought - the UK Government has acknowledged that the stats do not include those who die in care homes (same as for France):

There seem to be so many articles about how the world will be so different after this crisis and I am really not convinced. Nobody knows of course, but when this is eventually over my guess is:

  • the dead will be forgotten quickly (except by their loved ones) and most of the living will revert to form

  • capitalism will not  change significantly and socialism will not become more prevalent

  • few lessons will be learned and most of the mistakes will be covered up

  • for a number of years (say 10-15 years) the West will be over-sensitive to any new pandemic threats with the travel industry taking some hits

BREAKING:

A further 184 people have died as a result of COVID-19

This is the third successive day that the number of deaths age dropped and this is good news.

Horrendous and terrible for those families affected.

The purpose of the journey is irrelevant. I do not know why they are emphasizing essential. If you take a non-essential ride in your car towing a speed boat and don't come into contact with anyone how does that spread the virus? It's not a ban on enjoyment it's a ban on social contact!! And hopefully fitting a tyre didn't involve any close contact during payment etc?

The 159 patients who died in England were aged between 32 and 98 years old and all had underlying health conditions apart from 4 aged between 56 and 87 years old.

As with previous days some deaths potentially happened up to 1 week ago they are not all in a single 24-hour period.
