There's some hefty CN bubbled up from nothing just to my west. It's gone cloudy here but still dry but believe parts of Liverpool have got heavy rain - and I can hear 'distant rumbles'.

Curiously, it felt like the heant and/or humidity really ramped up from about an hour ago.

Currently 32c here, although 33c at Manc Airport.

Pretty much been on or around 33.3c for the last hour or more, the humidity down at 34%/DP at 15.8c and a reasonable breeze is making it feel slightly better than the last few days here

Doesn't feel less hot, though (sun came back out, but now cloudy again). Think the cooler air is still just to the west; the coastal fringes if the Irish Sea are now reporting temps down into the high 20's.

It's been roasting day and night where I live and 36c today and I'm not in the Red zone either. Makes zero sense.

Surely Bishops Stortford is not many miles out the Red Zone so you have to allosome leeway?

Seems to me that the SErn corner is far more favourable for extreme heat than the areas that got it yesterday.

But the plume today is more of a glancing blow. If yesterday's heat was further east then it would be a couple of degrees warmer.
