Min of 1.7c, foggy but thankfully not too thick.

A frost on the car, the sort that is ice that looks all artistic on the roof but is a bugger to scrape off the windscreen.

Mostly cloudy with Channel showers and occasional chinks of brightness. 2.4 mm so far. 8.2 C but at least this southerly breeze is much more slack compared to yesterday.

Ended up with 12.6 mm today as the Channel showers became more persistent and moderate in the afternoon before finally gave way to clear breaks by early evening.

Currently 9.1 C but the southerly breeze has picked up again thus keeping it feeling cool and fresh.

Home location: Folkestone Harbour.

Still dark but its obviously cloudy with steady rain and light westerly breeze.

After yesterdays beautiful sunny and mild middle day with showers early and later, I'm not so optimistic for the next few days about getting out and about to complete some coastal work.

Persistent rain. Feels mildish.

Utterly crap. The absolute worst - and least festive - weather in December.

Just back from a cold, brightly moonlit evening dog walk. River is running high after today's heavy rain and an atmospheric mist was forming in its shallow valley. Could be a frost tonight but will be the last one for a while. The first few days of winter haven't felt mild here

For once a winter's morning rather than an autumnal one - cold, clear, crisp, with glistening white frost. -0.3, dew -1.1, with the overnight low being -0.7. It'll be a while before we see these temperatures again!

Lovely, clear frosty start. Some cloud rocking up now, but it's very high and thin, for the most part. According to online forecasters it's 2c here now, my garden station may need new batteries as I'm not picking any readings up from it!

We did have a decent frost last night. Was -3c when I looked earlier this morning. Thought it might have been colder going by how wilted the foliage was on hardy shrubs like rhododendrons. Hopefully it will help to shift the leaves stubbornly hanging on our apple tree, which looks out of place in December. A good gale is required to finish the job

Bright spells and very breezy, with the promise of showers, anytime this afternoon. A big difference to yesterday evenings short storm, that seemed to blow in and have a good ole Rant for a few hours, then as calm as you like soon after midnight!
