Currently a few spots of rain from the cloud. I think the forecast mentioned some showery rain yesterday, with maybe even some thundery stuff. But parts of it look more 'organised'. There's another batch in the middle of the western Channel but whether this can hold its mojo and arrive here IMBY I'm not sure about. The wind has died down. Still warm and humid.

Light rain here now, the same time as yesterday's rain! Another disappointing, gloomy day with no sunshine. A Max of 20 C

Sunny all day and with a NE'ly for most of it - happily it means we've avoided the hot stuff today, albeit at the cost of it being humid.

It's 23.1, dew 18.2, the high so far being 24.5.

Cloudy here today [near Lincoln] with temps about 25°C. A bit humid, but the ground is now very dry. A gentle variable wind now - barely stirring the flag on The Green or leaves on nearby trees. Looking at the TWO forecast I can't see us getting any rain before the early hours on Thursday morning. 1mm perhaps. Then probably a bit of wet the last week of August. I did find some desiccated toadstools in a local limewood yesterday. Probably  the dark capped spp. Russula atropurpurea which must have got going during our last proper rains. There was also a dead mole on a track, very likely a drought casualty. See:

Awaiting the rain if the radar is anything to go by but not sure how much is actually making it to the ground given it says it's currently raining... and isn't yet.

The max today was 30.4c after the low of 10.3c so just managed a 20 degree range.

Thankfully the dew point only reached 17.4c so again it didn't feel that oppressive here, humidity was down to 37% this afternoon.

Much the same here. The occasional spit but although the radar suggests rain it's not reaching the ground.

Once again like last year my short break to London has come during a heatwave.  My children think it's always 30c in London.

Felt lovely today walking around, 30c with a nice breeze and so comfortable eating outside this evening. However just started raining!

The sun has felt softer and a bit mellower as you would expect into Mid August. Perhaps why it has been bearable.  Tomorrow might be a bit too hot, we will see.

Max 29.3C here today. Watched 6pm BBC forecast - no mention of rain anywhere in the south tonight just muggy yet there is a fair bit of stuff moving up from SW even across London on the radar. Just a few spits here though, right on the very eastern margin of it.

18.8C. More or less sunny with a light easterly wind.

The rain fairweather that showed on the radar last night was as I soon discovered, phantom precipitation. It might have been wet higher up but by the time it reached the ground no more than a few spits and spots.

Sunny, calm, very warm and sultry. There's condensation on the outside of the windows and a heavy dew on the grass, bins and cars.

19.4, dew 18.2. The overnight low was 18.1 and yesterday's high ended up as 24.5.

The heat has arrived from 'darn sarf' at last. 23 C at 1100. Hopefully we'll go over 25 C 🤔

There's a lot of medium cloud development though.

Our last days to reach 25 C were over 5 weeks ago on 11th & 12th July (26.1 C &  25.8 C) so it feels nice to leave the cool house into some heat. I even had the aircon on in the car just now and have shorts and t-shirt on 😁 It'll be great for the festival crowds and Oasis fans tonight
