Sunny, but a brisk onshore continental-type SE breeze making the current 2.7 C & high 70% H feel a lot colder than it needs to be.

Managed to get the Sun out for an hour or two around dinner time, but the clag has once again drifted in since. Cold and windy for the most part with a low of –0.1°C and a high of 4.3°C.

After a sunny day the temperature's dropping away sharply... down to 1.4, dew -1.7 after a high of 4.9 earlier.

EDIT: And the first 20C of the year upstairs this afternoon... the sun's free heating has added a good 4C to yesterday's value.

Ice pellets here at 1.2c making quite a sound as they fall moderately. Not sure what the heavy stuff to the east is falling as.

Down to 0.2c now but the band has passed through. Ice pellets settled for a time.  Looks like snowing on the higher ground east of the Vale of York now.

Overcast and pretty much calm after a bright start. There has been rain showing on the radar at times but nothing has made it down to ground level.

It's now 2.9, dew 1.3 after a low of -0.3C last night.

(I note the MetO raw now has sleet here this evening - so very, very close!)

Back to default overcast skies after a fairly bright start (apparently there was a nice "sailor's warning" sunrise but I missed it by still being asleep). Still on the chilly side at 3.6 C & high 70% H producing zero C dp and a mod SE breeze adding a wind chill.

Not been above 1.5C but mainly just drizzle here now.

It's just incredibly dank and gloomy with low cloud down to 500ft.
