I'm only 50m asl as I mentioned. It started as rain and has been that sort of 'pointless' light snow which won't make an impact. You probably won't have to go too much higher before it starts sticking a bit.

If anything it's now lighter and more sleety. The type of precipitation that usually occurs AFTER a transition snow event.

We don't do well for snow here at all. Though the fall we had in November (was it?) was longer lasting than normal but even then only an inch or so.

This is Diggle Tunnel live coverage between Leeds and Manchester. Starting to lay now. I think the elevation is about 250m asl.

I'm only 10m ASL though, and yet its settling here like crazy.

Here in Edinburgh, it's now overcast.

The wind has picked up, and is coming straight in from off the North Sea.

Meanwhile, the temperature has now risen to +3°C which isn't even all that cold, and all of our frost has now completely disappeared which doesn't exactly bode very well for any snow prospects for here later on.😡
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

I don't know where you are so can't really compare.

We did get a very reluctant slushy covering, but now if anything it's raining lightly and by tomorrow morning it will all be washed away, undoubtedly.

Can't really complain. It was much as forecast and we haven't had any sub zero temperatures leading up to the 'event'.

Currently raining here in Edinburgh (yes, it is just rain here as I expected all along) with a temperature of around 3°C and a raw wind coming in from off the North Sea which is making it feel a lot colder than it actually is (it isn't actually the least bit cold  here for this time of year of course).😡

2.7c with drizzle.
Horrible slush everywhere, will count as a morning of snow cover but not pleasant.

A slight change here, heavier pulse of rain has reduced the temperature to 2.3 C and we now have a few wet snowflakes in the rain. About as exciting as it gets in a modern winter
