Another dry day with a fair amount of sun here - but with a very light easterly drift.

17.5C and partly cloudy, dew 13.2C. The high so far is 17.7C, so a smidge above average.

Turned out fine with plenty of sunshine, did see some knuckle hard cumulus over them thar hills to my north but thankfully they all moved away.
Managed a peak of 16.5 C at oddly 8.30 am, then hovered around 14 C to 15 C all day but felt warm in the sunshine and winds were generally light overall. Drying up quickly after the recent rains too.

A late max of 18.3C here. It's now 8 days since the last colder-than-average day... will tomorrow end the run? GFS has 12 and MetO has 13 as a high. I'm expecting 16 or 17, so it'll be close! (The LTA is either 16 or 17 here at this time of month, depending on which source you choose).

Damp after 1.2 mm of rain has fallen so far, also rather cloudy but it does appear to be trying to brighten up again.

11.5 C & mid 90% H, it's only 11 am but still rather poor for mid-May.

An improvement with some sunshine but can see low cloud being filtered out by them thar hills under a brisk north east breeze.  It's this said brisk wind that is making the current 13.3 C & mid 80% H feel cool and fresh but is helping to shift the dampness.

Very different at this end of Hants. The apps still say sunny all day but it has been resolutely overcast. Just a few chinks in the cloud starting to appear but still a good 7/8 cloud cover. Very poor forecast.

Stubborn cloud shows up well on the satellite. Looks like it may disappear shortly.

A lovely day here in Edinburgh and regardless of what happens between now and sunset, today will go down as our sunniest day of this month so far with a total of 10.1 hours of sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 5pm this afternoon.

In addition to that, there are still almost another 4 hours to go until sunset as I write, so today is looking very likely to also go down as our sunniest day of this year so far, although there is some east coast haar out at sea which could well spoil that.

However, today is also our warmest day of this year so far as today's highest hourly temperature reading at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 18.7°C.

As at 5pm this afternoon, the temperature here in Edinburgh was around 18°C.

Turned out pretty decent with almost unbroken sunshine the whole day, now there is some broken stratsocumulus trying to move in but still a fair bit of clear skies about. The only thing that let the side down today was the fresh north east wind that made the max of 17 C felt cool and fresh, but like I said earlier it did an excellent job in shifting the dampness and perfect for airing the house out. Now a fresh-feeling 12 C & high 80% H.

Thanks to a change in wind direction, the east coast haar which was lurking out at sea for a while has now disappeared, but it has now clouded over from the west.

This was enough in the end to scupper our chances of getting our sunniest day of the day, so we ended up with a total of 11.6 hours of sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank and not only was this not enough to beat our highest total of the year so far which was set during April, but it wasn't enough to beat March's highest total either.😡

Nevertheless, today was still our sunniest day of the month so far by a long way, and also our warmest day of this year so far with a maximum temperature of 19.0°C at Edinburgh Gpgarbank, although that won't actually be officially confirmed as today's maximum temperature until the end of the current official observation day at 09:00 UTC (10am BST) tomorrow morning.

As at 8pm this evening though, the temperature here in Edinburgh had dropped back to around 13°C.
