Looking on the cams, the M62 is clear over the tops, with the verges showing a disappointingly modest accumulation. Even the
Cat & Fiddle cam in the Peak District has only a thinnish covering, whilst the
Flash Bar cam is a bit better, but I've seen it way better.
Last hope (outside of Scotland/far North of England) is that, as the low moves east and pulls down colder air behind it, the tail of the feature brings a period of better snow overnight. Tommy Shaven-knackers did explicitly mention this as a likelihood.
