Great photo on Spaceweather.com: Comet ATLAS (C/2024 G3) has just emerged into the evening sky of the southern hemisphere--and it is a beauty.

SpaceWeather.com writes: "The Arctic Circle could soon be filled with Type II Polar Stratospheric Clouds (PSCs) - widely regarded as the most beautiful clouds on Earth....The air temperature of the polar stratosphere could soon drop to its lowest value in nearly 50 years, if the forecast holds. This sets the stage for intense PSCs."

It's an intriguing area for speculation - but why would life not find a way? [But perhaps not as we know it?  😁]

If skies are clear why not look SW and admire Venus/The Moon and below them Saturn. Then look SE to Orion/Jupiter and on to Mars in the East. Then go in an get yourself a well-earned Scotch to warm you up. Or whatever does that for you. My plan is something like. 🥃🥂🥂🥃.
