Indeed!  Whatever happened to ‘we’re all in this together’?  I think in general they need to spend less time playing the blame game and more time concentrating on getting things done!   By all means evaluate so you get it right next time but bickering isn’t fruitful.

Reading about the care homes disaster in the UK it makes me wonder how anyone sane can say the government has done a good job.

IDS calls for death to the huddled masses.

“You may kill an artist or a thinker, but you cannot acquire his art or his thought. You may put a man to death because he loves his fellow-men, but you will not by so doing acquire the love which made his happiness. Force is impotent in such matters; it is only as regards material goods that it is effective. For this reason the men who believe in force are the men whose thoughts and desires are preoccupied with material goods.“ — Bertrand Russell

As soon as possible? I hadn’t realised they had said that? Is this in addition to Peter English’s comments?

“The BMA wants schools to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so and the evidence allows – this could be before June 1 or after.”. (Note as soon as it is safe and the evidence allows. Very different to ASAP).

See if he turns up at PMQ's today and that will hopefully put you and a few others out of their misery 😃

Boris reminds me of a WW1 general, sending out his ministers to be mown down by the ranks of machine guns from the press while he stays in a dug-out, sorry, comfortable hotel, well back from the front line.

Or do you prefer the Duke of Plaza Toro "He led his army from behind / he found it less exciting" (G & S)

I tried to access this site last night but it was down. I was interested in whereabout's this work was available as assume in my head it mostly around Norfolk and Lincolnshire. Can't see anything on the site. I couldn't do the work as my back would not last 5 mins.

It's the second part of the verse that should worry us, DEW...

In enterprise of martial kind,
When there was any fighting,
He led his regiment from behind--
He found it less exciting.
But when away his regiment ran,
His place was at the fore, O--

Yes they are all certainly getting a run out in the spotlight. Share the blame!😀 I expect he will do PMQ's, but if he can save his energy for the long fight ahead still then glad if he is trying to save his strength. TBH, he does not need to be there for the updates, same old numbers, same old crappy questions personally I don't watch these now and get the summary afterwards. Saves hour and a half.

Perhaps Owen Paterson can put forward this plan to the nation rather than just to the cabinet? (as noted in the article, he claims it isn't true)

Surely you’ve noted Brian’s fondness for lobbing hand grenades into the discussions?

Yes indeed, although he does run the risk of having thrown the pin by mistake.
